EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

What is an EAP?

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a company benefit offered to all A1 Medical Imaging employees. It includes a range of highly confidential services and resources to help with problems that employees face in their everyday work and family lives. An A1-EAP provides assessment, referral, and brief counseling to employees and their family members for a variety of problems such as family, marital, child, substance abuse, stress, anxiety, and depression. It is based on a philosophy of prevention and early intervention. Further, an EAP provides management and supervisors with professional consultation on a variety of behavioral concerns which could affect job performance. An EAP Director provides managers with identification of problems and options for solutions.

Why Should I Use EAP?

All people experience changes in their lives. And all changes are stressful. Even getting a promotion, having a baby, getting married and “launching” adult children into independent life can cause unexpected stress. Personal problems are not always left at home. Rather, we tend to carry our emotional burdens around as heavy “luggage”. Given enough time, the burden weighs too heavily, affecting our well-being and effectiveness at work. This is why EAP is offered to you as an employee: we believe that behind a healthy company is a group of healthy employees.

How Can I Benefit from an EAP?

An A1 Medical Imaging EAP helps managers and supervisors effectively address employee productivity and job performance issues. Among the many benefits to the employees are:

  • Mental Health and Wellness Training
  • Confidential assessment, brief treatment, crisis intervention and referrals
  • Problem solving approaches to problems
  • Early intervention and prevention training
  • Resources for relational, child and elder issues
  • Referrals to community resources
  • 24 hours a day every day access to professional counseling services
